What is Learning Analytics

Learning Analytics is the analysis of data collected from education courses and use of big data technologies to analyze the results. Without looking into the analysis and insights the data collected from educational courses it is difficult to analyze how someone is doing in a course or how to provide a focused path for each student. With the use of data analysis on this kind of data educators can understand how the students are interacting with the resources, where they are struggling and provide a semi automatic path for students to follow where the system gives some recommendation and the educator uses some or all of the recommendations to suggest personalized path for each student.
