Impact of policy and strategic planning on systems-level deployment of learning analytics
There is some lower form of learning analytics being done in individual level but this analysis is limited to one class and the analysis is connected to any other data. In order for the analysis to have an impact on the whole university or impact individual student or the education system in the university there is a need for the education university to be involved and they have to decide that they will support framework of learning from analytics to improve the system. Without this support it is not useless for any analysis. When the university is involved than more decisions and policies needs to be devised that deals with how the data will be stored, how to properly give access to only relevant data to analysts, at what level what kind of information can be shared, how to protect and anonymize the data to do the analysis without exposing user information and keep privacy. Also, different roles of the university needs to give input and be involved and the decision makers needs to have understanding what the data is suggesting and how to make policy to improve education as a whole.
